Eco resin pricing in India varies on three things: whether it's single-component or two-part, the shade, and the pack size.

Single-component eco resins like CALSO ONE mix with plain water, so you're only ever paying for one material. Two-part systems (epoxy, and some Jesmonite-style products) require a separate liquid component priced on top of the powder, which is why a straight kg-to-kg comparison between systems can be misleading if you only look at the powder price.

Shade matters because Brilliant White uses a higher grade of mineral filler for a purer, whiter cast, and that raises the cost per kg over Off White.

Pack size is the biggest lever most makers ignore. Buying a 15kg pack instead of five separate 1kg packs drops your cost per kg by close to 10%, purely from packaging and handling economics, with zero change to the material itself.

Brilliant White currently ships in 1kg and 3kg packs only. If you need Brilliant White at production volume, buying multiple 3kg packs is the current option, and the per-kg rate stays flat at ₹666 across that range, it doesn't step down further the way Off White does.

Off White is where the pack-size discount really shows up: the 15kg pack brings the per-kg cost down to ₹453, about 9% cheaper than buying the same 15kg as five 3kg packs.

What that works out to per piece

Price per kg is an abstraction until you turn it into a per-coaster number, because that's the figure that actually goes into your pricing or your margin.

CALSO ONE mixes at a 3:1 ratio by weight, powder to water. A standard 90mm coaster takes roughly 80g of mixed slurry, which means about 60g of powder per coaster. Multiply your ₹/kg rate by 0.06 and you have your cost per coaster.

That difference between ₹30 and ₹27 per coaster looks small until you multiply it across a batch. A studio casting 200 coasters a month saves roughly ₹600 a month, about ₹7,200 a year, just from buying the 15kg pack instead of the 1kg pack. The material is identical. The only variable is which pack size you clicked on checkout.

How this compares to Jesmonite AC100

Jesmonite AC100 typically runs around ₹900 per kg for the powder component in the Indian market, based on publicly listed reseller pricing at the time of writing. That's roughly double CALSO ONE's per-kg rate even at CALSO ONE's smallest pack size.

Two things are worth being precise about here. First, AC100 is a two-part system, so the full material cost includes a separate liquid component priced on top of that powder figure, which this post isn't attempting to total up since liquid pricing varies more by supplier. Second, AC100 is imported into India, and CALSO ONE is made in Hyderabad, which is most of the reason for the gap: import duty and freight sit on top of Jesmonite's base manufacturing cost before it ever reaches an Indian buyer.

We won't claim CALSO ONE beats Jesmonite here. Jesmonite is a capable material and the global benchmark for a reason. What we'd say instead is that CALSO ONE is the more accessible option for an Indian studio, with a simpler single-component workflow, made domestically, at a lower landed cost.
